Indoor farming uses 95% less water, less space, and controlled environments to grow safe food. Chinnam Harika says it helps city people get fresh produce. Ajinkya Rahane says it supports modern farming, environment, and food safety. But indoor farming is still new in India due to high costs, few crops, and lack of skilled workers. Starting my journey as a self-employed professional in agriculture. . . . I manage and operate my own farm, where I oversee a wide range of agricultural activities. My work includes planning crops, preparing the soil, monitoring irrigation schedules, and ensuring proper use of fertilizers and other inputs. I look after day-to-day maintenance, manage resources efficiently, and make decisions that help improve productivity. I also guide labourers in their daily tasks to keep farm operations running smoothly and on time. Through this role, I’m gaining hands-on experience in agricultural management, seasonal planning, and sustainable farming practices.
